About this property

On the border of the Snowdonia National Park, surrounded by stunning countryside is Ffynnon Bach, in the small village of Deiniolen, a town built around the old slate quarry nearby.

With its excellent links to all that Snowdonia has to offer, as well as being within easy reach of the coastal towns of Caernarfon and Menai, this property is suitable for a couples retreat or a small family. On entering the property, you come to an open-plan living area, beautifully decorated with a modern twist, which hosts a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area, with a woodburning stove being the most eye-catching feature of the room. To the first floor is a king-size bedroom and a twin room, with a family bathroom across the way containing a bath with shower over, so you can wake yourself up in the morning with a refreshing shower! The property benefits from a private patio area with a barbecue for those summer months, and a shared external utility room. Note: Property can be booked with Ref. 1014116 and together they can sleep eight people.

Deiniolen is a village in Gwynedd, in the Llanddeiniolen Community, with views over Caernarfon which is around 7 miles away, and on a clear day even the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland can be seen. The slate industry was an important employer and source of business to the town, but the quarry has now been closed since 1969. Nowadays, the village is within easy reach of the Zip World at Penrhyn Quarry, and several other activities to get stuck into while you're in the area.

The only small criticism would be no lock on bathroom door, as staying with friends a lovk would have been good. Floor boards very cricky upstairs which was noisy when getting up in the night.

Everything about it was gorgeous. The cottage is surrounded by amazing views of the country side and is perfectly positioned to explore north wales. The cottage its self is super clean and comfortable with everything you need. We were a family of 2 adults, 2 children (12 and 8) and a dog. There was plenty of room for us all. There was nothing that could have been better! We had the best time and miss it already. Thank you for having us.

The views and walks were truly perfect and the cottage was lovely to come back to at the end of the day. The hosts were friendly and happy to help if we needed anything. We will definitely book again.
