Pabo Lodge is a well-regarded cottage in North Wales, praised for its cosy atmosphere, warm central heating, and quiet, secluded location. Guests appreciate the secure garden, especially those with pets, and the property's proximity to local attractions. The cottage's character and homely feel are frequently mentioned, along with the thoughtful touches by the owner.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with fresh bed linen and a warm, comfortable environment. However, a few mentioned the presence of cobwebs and the need for a more thorough cleaning in some areas.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, rural views, and accessibility to local sights and amenities. The secure garden and quiet lanes are appreciated by dog owners, and the proximity to Llandudno and Conwy is a plus.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with a warm central heating system and comfortable beds. The presence of extra heaters and a log fire adds to the comfort level, although some guests noted the garden could be more secure for pets.
The cottage is equipped with necessary facilities, and guests are satisfied with the kitchen and hot water supply. However, some guests noted the lack of a dishwasher and Sky TV, and suggested that the exterior and garden could use some attention.
Several guests mentioned thoughtful gestures such as a welcome basket and useful information provided by the owner. While these touches are appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.
Llandudno 3.5 miles.
An attractive 19th century, stone-built, Grade II listed cottage situated in a quiet hamlet on the outskirts of Llandudno Junction, just 3.5 miles from the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno. Originally the gate lodge to the Pabo Estate, this delightful cottage has been lovingly decorated and furnished in a traditional cottage style, boasting exposed oak floors and a lovely woodburning stove in the living room, all creating a charming, cosy atmosphere. The pretty garden offers beautiful countryside views, perfect for relaxing and dining alfresco, whilst the surrounding area is a paradise for climbers, walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Visit Victorian Llandudno with its two lovely beaches, long promenade, dry ski slope, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, or explore medieval Conwy, with its magnificent castle, splendid town walks, picturesque harbour, marina and golf course. An ideal location for a relaxing break at any time of the year.
Set between the Great Orme and the Little Orme, the village of Llandudno is a popular destination due to the town's two waterfronts. With both The North Shore and The West Shore, there are two beaches for visitors to choose from, the former offering a wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the latter offering contrast with its miles of sandy shoreline backed by dunes and superb views of nearby Anglesey. For great photo opportunities from the 600 feet high Great Orme summit, visitors can enjoy a relaxing trip up via the Tramway or cable car. There are a number of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes in the town whilst just four miles away is the World Heritage Site of Conwy. The TV could do with an upgrade or new aerial as most of the time there was no signal. There was also a damp smell in the cottage. Although the kitchen was well equipped the cottage would benefit from a larger frying pan. The owner was very helpful and we will certainly come back to Pabo Lodge. The garden was lovely and private to. Alfie our cockapoo loved

The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and was very pleasant to sit in when weather permitted. The walk up to the obelisk gave you magnificent views. I would recommend to friends and family
