Guests say

Clydfan Cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, modern and well-equipped kitchen, and the thoughtful touch of leaving items for guests. The garden is appreciated, especially by dog owners, though some mention it could use more attention. The location is convenient for touring Anglesey, despite some noting the village's limited attractions. Comfort levels are satisfactory with a cosy atmosphere, but some guests suggest improvements in furnishings. Facilities are adequate with some minor issues noted.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting its spotless condition upon arrival. This suggests a well-maintained property that is regularly cleaned to a high standard.

The location is deemed excellent as a base for exploring Anglesey, though the village itself is described as lacking in picturesque qualities and tourist destinations. Some guests were dissatisfied with the immediate surroundings and the proximity to a main road.

Comfort receives a positive response overall, with mentions of a cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, some guests noted issues with seating in the lounge and the arrangement of the double bed, suggesting room for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-received, particularly the kitchen equipment. However, there are comments about missing items such as saucepan lids, a wine bottle opener, and outdoor furniture, which indicate some areas for enhancement.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful gestures, such as leaving kitchen items and a cake, which contribute to a welcoming experience. It is politely noted that while these gifts are a lovely addition, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Once we removed the air fresheners at owners request, we were hit with a pungent smell as excrement / vomit. So for three nights, my husband slept on a small 2 seater settee, whilst my daughter and I had to share the double bed. Sykes answers the phone as they claim to be 24 hour emergency helpline, which they do answer but nothing is sorted over the weekend. On Monday, maintenance man came around at 11am, was at the property for an hour with us. He agreed that there was some strange smell and said we couldn’t stay there any longer, he contacted the owner and they kindly arranged for us to move to another property in Caernarfon. The maintenance men were very helpful, pleasant and accommodating. We can only thank them for sorting out the move and but which should have been dealt with on the Saturday morning not half way through the holiday.

The cottage is lovely and has a well equipped kitchen and clean the lounge has a very small sofa and two small uncomfortable chairs so not a place you could sit and relax watching tv the garden could do with having a table and chairs and maybe a nice patio area so you can sit and eat outside we didn’t sit out as we could hear the residents next door shouting and swearing the bedrooms are ok the double bed is pushed up against the wall so me and my husband slept in the single beds which were ok but the pillows weren’t very good cheap and flat and the bed linen felt rough think the cottage would benefit from a few home comforts if your staying there for longer than a few days fortunately we had good weather so didn’t have to spend much time in the cottage the location is central so easy to get to anywhere there’s a pub in the village but it only served food at the weekend the chippy do lovely fish and chips had a great time exploring all the beautiful places in Anglesey but didn’t feel we could come back to the cottage and relax would I stay here again no it’s not for us
