Guests say

Waverley House is a well-received holiday rental in Beaumaris, praised for its spaciousness, tasteful maritime decor, and convenient location. Guests appreciate the welcoming touches, such as a welcome pack and the property's proximity to local amenities and attractions. The house offers comfortable furnishings, ample kitchenware, and private parking, enhancing the stay for visitors of all ages.

The property is generally regarded as very clean, with numerous guests highlighting its spotless condition. However, there were isolated incidents of cleanliness oversights, such as rubbish left in a bin and dirty plugholes, which slightly affect the overall high standard noted by most.

The location is highly praised for being within walking distance to Beaumaris centre, shops, and attractions like the castle. Its proximity to the beach and views of Snowdonia are also appreciated, making it an ideal base for exploring Anglesey.

Guests find the house comfortable, with special mentions of the comfy beds and the spaciousness that accommodates both large parties and families. Some guests suggested improvements in heating and additional bathroom facilities, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The house is well-equipped with kitchenware and offers private parking. However, guests noted areas for improvement such as outdoor maintenance, additional storage, and the need for a downstairs toilet. The presence of a welcome folder with local information is a plus.

The thoughtfulness of the host is evident from the welcome gifts mentioned by several guests, including wine, cakes, and flowers. While these gestures are warmly received, it is important to note that such gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed for every stay.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin.

Everything provided for. Very welcomed food and wine parcel on arrival. The only criticism would be on the need for better bathroom's towels and bedding as house can be quite cold, even in June. There were also no instructions about the heating system.

Suited us all perfectly - comfortable, plenty of room for 3 teenagers and 2 adults, facilities were more than we expected and such a lovely house to stay in. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful long weekend stay.

Outside decking/seating area could do with some attention to make it more pleasurable to use the small outside space. We didn't use for this reason. No anti slip mat in first floor bathroom made it quite dangerous in the wet shower. Dining area quite cold in attached room. Would,be,more beneficial putting table in the middle room in the house which is probably the designated dining space . Owner is easily contactable if needed and some lovely welcome gifts on arrival. House would benefit from a little decorating in places. However really good situation in Beaumaris and private parking a,bonus and selling point for this house.
