EPC Rating: Band D

St Boswells sits on the south of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders. There is much evidence of Roman occupation, dating from almost two thousand years ago. Today, St Boswells is known for being on the route of St Cuthbert’s Way, the long distance path from Melrose Abbey to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The village boasts a hotel, café, several shops, post office, butcher and a garage. As well as spectacular salmon and brown trout fishing on the River Tweed, the local riverside walks take in attractive scenery.

Welcome treats from the owners much appreciated. Perfect for dog walking right from the door and a great base to explore further afield. Couldn’t fault it - we had a wonderful week. Thank you x

  • Eileen

The cottage is comfy and the owner supplied lots of extras, e.g. teabags, coffee, cleaning items , welcome wine, tablet and dog treats !! Very thoughtful. Village very welcoming too.

It is situated in a lovely village with sufficient local shops. Attractions and other essentials are a short drive away. Excellent base to tour the Borders and beyond. The cottage is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Unlike other cottages we have stayed in with Sykes, this does not have a washing machine. The gardens are well stocked but very small flagged areas,as you would expect in this style of cottage.
