Guests say

Camisky Steading is a spacious property with stunning views, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchen. It offers a peaceful and relaxing holiday experience in a remote location, with easy access to Fort William. Guests appreciate the property's tranquillity, the surrounding natural beauty, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with fresh linens and a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests noted issues such as dust, cobwebs, and signs of mice, suggesting room for improvement in deep cleaning and pest control.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views of Ben Nevis and the peaceful, rural setting. It is considered ideal for a quiet retreat, yet conveniently close to Fort William for amenities. The remote nature and proximity to outdoor activities are particularly appreciated.

Guests find the property very comfortable, with large beds and high-quality bedding. The warm and cosy atmosphere is frequently mentioned, although some guests noted minor issues with furniture and the need for additional seating in certain areas.

The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests enjoy the added convenience of good Wi-Fi and a drying room for wet gear. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a leaky shower, broken toilet seats, and a need for redecoration, indicating that some facilities require attention.

While some guests were delighted by the presence of holiday decorations and the responsiveness of the owner, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

It was extremely well equipped, beautiful location, easy to get to places from here and would highly recommend. The photos of the rooms do not do it justice, very nice indeed!

. In the countryside and with a view of Ben Nevis, but still on the doorstep for Fort William. Loads to do around the local area and the cottage is a welcome retreat to recharge in the evening, ready for the next day. Beds and linens are crisp and clean, with lovely fresh towels too. The lounge is relaxing and will appointed too. The boot room is fab... Somewhere to leave the boots and to dry out coats etc, if needed. Overall cleanliness is perhaps not up there but not such that it impacts the stay in any way... Personal preference perhaps.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful base to go and explore the Highlands, then this is the place. As other reviews say, it needs a minor bit of tlc but that doesn't take away from the property at all. Will certainly be back there again.
