We parked in parking area across the road but had a note put on the car asking us to move it as it was private. We had a nice stay none the less and if you get the chance go to the Auld Alliance Restaurant opposite Tesco, you won't regret it.

Although fairly small it was perfect for the two of us with a small dog. There was everything that we needed, was very well equipped. It might be helpful for others to know that you need to squeeze the buttons either side of the key lock, once you put the code in, as it took us a little while to figure out. The only thing we had a bit of trouble with was the lack of grey bin for our rubbish, there didn't seem to be one. The recycling bins were outside the door, and the grey one was supposed to be across the road with the house name on, but we couldn't find it. We loved our stay, and enjoyed all kirkcudbright had to offer. We went out to the Dhoon beach every morning to walk the dog, she loved it. Thoroughly relaxing holiday.
