Snaptrip says

Rose Cottage in Selby is praised for its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the well-maintained garden, ideal for pets, and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some minor issues with the shower and beds are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'very clean and comfortable' and 'beautifully clean'. The attention to cleanliness is a recurring compliment among reviewers.

The location is well-regarded for its convenience to York and Selby, with a local shop and pub within walking distance. The frequent bus service is also appreciated, although some guests mention road noise.

Comfort receives positive feedback for the cosy atmosphere and secure garden. However, some guests mention issues with the beds and sofa comfort, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and warm property. However, recurring plumbing issues, particularly with the shower, affect the score. The maintenance response is prompt, but the problems are a concern for some guests.

Guests mention thoughtful extras like Easter decorations, a welcome pack, and provisions for pets. While these touches are appreciated, it is noted that such gestures are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Ideal for our dog, handy for York and good local pub. If there was any complaint it is that perhaps the beds could be a bit more comfortable but really that's hardly worth a mention. I would definitely recommend Rose cottage to friends & family.

Road noise through the village and unfortunately the people in Thistle next door were quite noisy. Heating was uncontrollable and it was very hot which made it a bit uncomfortable. Couldn’t get the hob to work despite following the instructions. Great base for exploring York and Selby with the bus stop for both just outside the front door. Great enclosed garden for the dog which made it safe. Onsite parking which is also a bonus. Good WiFi if you need it. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen equipped with everything you need. Great welcome pack as well. Just disappointing about the noise levels.
