Such a relaxing retreat. You have thought of everythingâ¦.making the place so comfortable and home from home. (Loving the kitchen binâ¦.took me a day to realise it worked by sensorâ¦.genius!) Especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony upstairs (so lucky with the weather)â¦it was so tranquil. Recommend the cinder track walk along the top of the viaduct into Whitby; Trencherâs chippie in Whitby, Robin Hoodâs Bay, Staithes, Hare & Hounds (YO22 4LH), delicious Sunday lunch at nearby Bridge Inn (YO21 1NJ). The welcome hamper was a lovely bonus. We will definitely be back.

A lovely cottage sitting on the River Esk, under a lovely viaduct. We sat on the balcony most mornings with our cups of tea, watching the rowing boats and even seals swimming up & down the river. Lisa was the perfect host from initial booking up to the day we left. There was also a lovely welcoming pack. Itâs a twenty minute walk into Whitby or a 4 min drive. A lovely cottage in a lovely town. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
