Snaptrip says

Primrose Cottage in Filey is generally appreciated for its superb location, spaciousness, and cleanliness, with several guests planning return visits. The property is praised for its proximity to beaches and local amenities, and its suitability for dog owners. Some concerns were raised about maintenance and cleanliness, but these were not universal. The cottage's charm and the site's family-friendly nature are highlights, despite some minor issues with facilities.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed. Some guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable, while others reported issues with cleanliness, such as dusty ornaments and the need to clean cutlery upon arrival. The varied experiences suggest that cleanliness is generally satisfactory, but there is room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its access to nearby beaches, local pubs, and scenic walks, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. However, one review mentioned the property being on a busy road, which affected their sleep quality.

Comfort receives mixed feedback. Guests enjoyed the spaciousness and quietness, but some mentioned issues with uncomfortable beds and low settees. The lack of grab rails in the bathroom was a concern for guests with mobility issues.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-maintained site and a secure field for dogs. However, guests noted the absence of oven trays, private outdoor space, and poor TV reception. Some also mentioned a lack of information about the area and the property's amenities.

There is insufficient information to accurately score thoughtfulness. While one review mentioned complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits, it is not clear if this is a standard practice or a one-off occurrence. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts are provided.

The bed was very comfy and the shower excellent. It was nice to receive complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits etc on arrival. The only downfall for me was not enough plug sockets and mirrors in convenient places. Glad I took a small makeup mirror with me. Overall a clean well kept accommodation.

The hot water tap was faulty and I reported this too. It was repaired but did not get repaired properly and was just a fudged job. I would not recommend this property for the following reasons:- Quite dirty Unwelcoming i.e. the pottery in the cottage was very basic and nothing seemed liike we were being treated well on holiday - very small cups and very small bowls for breakfast No fairy liquid or handwash and skimpy bin liners that were useless The list is endless it was not cleaned very well and it was far too basic and not near enough as good as other properties we have stayed in

However, we did like the location and the fact that it was peaceful and very scenic. Would recommend staying there.
