Rillington is a small village and civil parish located on the A64 road in North Yorkshire, with easy links to the historical city of York and the bustling coastal town of Scarborough. Rillington was mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Survey and is now home to a Post Office, two pubs, The Coach and Horses and The Fleece, and a church. The rural community was developed many years ago due to the presence of fertile soil and the village is still home to an active farming community. Nearby attractions include the Scampton Walled Garden, a contemporary garden open for visitors throughout the year, and the Wolds Way Lavender, a lavender farm and visitor centre. Further afield into the city of York, you can discover the incredible York Minster and grand city walls. Also when we arrived at the property there was a cake and a bottle of Prosecco which gave it a nice touch and was very nice of them. All the bits you don’t think of were just there. An Easter egg for the kid and dog treats. No problems at all and a lovely little spot.

Easy to find, perfectly positioned to reach the coast, dales, moors and the lovely villages and towns situated within. Walkers rest was immaculate, extremely clean and cosy. Anna was a brilliant host and nothing was too much trouble. Our family loved it, we’d highly recommend.
