Mr Giles
The Hayloft is a lovely property in a beautiful location, with great access to the Moors. The owners were very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. It was the perfect spot for a short, peaceful break.
Dr Stone
A lovely cottage in a really good location. Nearby Helmsley is a great little market town with lots of independent shops and cafes, and The Hayloft made a fabulous base from which to visit the incredible ruined medieval Abbeys in the area - Whitby, Rievaulx, Fountains and Byland. Pickering and Helmsley castles were a real treat too, and the medieval wall paintings in St Peter and St Paul's Church in Pickering were breathtaking. The area is properly dog friendly too - Daisy made lots of friends, and we really appreciated being able to take her into shops and cafes (special mention to the Little Ripon Bookshop who fetched her fresh water while we browsed!). The Hayloft's owners Tony and Elaine were super-friendly and incredibly helpful, even managing to arrange to fix a broken shower the same day whilst they themselves were away on holiday. A smashing week in a very special place - thank you.

Thanks for a really relaxing stay. We are familiar with the area but we tried out some of your recommendations. The Red Lion on the moors worth the visit. One of our favourite spots is lunch at the glider club. We also went to Thornton le dale to the visit the Mathewsons (Bangers and Cash). Great footpaths for the dog which is a must for us. Hope to return soon. Hoe to return soon. We bought and tried the honey. Loved it.
