A quaint 14th Century packhorse footbridge across the river (known locally as Little Emily’s Bridge) is just a moment’s walk away.  Enjoy a short stroll along the footpath to the pretty village of Grassington which hosts the annual summer festival in late June/early July and the Dickensian weekends in December.  Alternatively from the grounds of the 12th-century church is access to the stepping stones across the river and a path through the fields leading to Hebden and Burnsall, you will discover many picnic spots along the way.  Linton has a country inn renowned for its fine ales and excellent food with the surrounding villages offering plenty of choice for dining out.  Further along the valley. . .
