Beverley 5 miles. A large private house surrounded by a big garden with traditional features just outside the market town of Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The substantial lawned garden and spacious living arrangements make Holly Bank perfect for a family to enjoy the peace of a rural setting with an abundance of wild birds and nature close by. The sitting room features comfortable sofas and a welcoming woodburning stove. The large farmhouse style kitchen is well equipped with a NEFF double oven and induction hob and a separate utility room for washing and drying.The dining room, as with a number of the other rooms in the house, is decorated in the style of William Morris to reflect the beautiful views and nature surrounding Holly Bank. Upstairs, you can find peace and quiet on the landing in the reading corner, where you can enjoy a book whilst admiring the views towards the countryside. Four generous bedrooms complete the accommodation, one a family room with a single bed attached, another has an en-suite. Both the ensuite and main bathroom have power showers! The owners provide milk, tea and coffee on arrival together with locally made biscuits or a cake. Also provided is soap for each basin and a starter pack of toilet rolls! There is a well-stocked herb garden including bay leaves, rosemary, chives, parsley, mint, oregano and thyme. The beautiful rear garden features a delightful patio area, BBQ and small orchard with its own little house for the children to play in. There is parking for four cars easily. The ancient village of Etton, on the edge of the Dalton Estate, is surrounded by fields and farmland. Adjacent to The Hudson Way and at the foot of picturesque Wolds it is a perfect location for walking and cycling. The historic market town of Beverley is less than 5 miles away and has a thriving market on Saturdays. The town has escaped much of the usual development and continues to have a traffic free ‘high’ street called Toll Gavel which has an impressive array of independent and up market shops, cafés restaurants including Barbour, White Company, Joules, Neals Yard to name a few. The Westwood is ancient area to the west of the town and is home to Beverley Race Course which hosts race meetings throughout the summer. Within easy reach is the bustling city of Hull, the 2017 City of Culture,the old Hull town has a collection of free museums including Wilberforce House, the birth place of William Wilberforce the city’s MP who did much to abolish slavery.Further afield is the breath-taking city of York and the North York Moors and its amazing Railway – a must for Harry Potter fans! If it is the seaside you are looking for then Bridlington has all the traditional attractions including donkeys! Further away is the Victorian splendour of Scarborough or the magnificent, but creepy, Whitby – the setting for Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Beverley is full of history and there are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from - don't forget to enjoy a day out at Beverley Races! The Deep submarium in Hull (2017 City of Culture), the amazing city of York, the North York Moors and the East Coast seaside towns of Hornsea, Bridlington and Scarborough are all within an hour’s drive.
