There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. However I fou d the cleanliness and overall appearance of the inside was not what I expected on sitting at the dining table we noticed a bog scratch a roos the top of it, you could say general wear and tear but not good, the flooring in the main kitchen, living area was lifted in placed thus causing a trip hazard for my husband who has balance problems and the walls in various places had marks on them. We were left instructions not to stop the bed which is fine and to leave any towels we had not used to one side to help the cleaners with the environment, does this mean they were to be left out for the next people? I would have touched them so hope that is not the case. Overall the cleanliness for me left a lot to be desired for the money paid.

The bathroom floor looks vey dirty but is actually ground in dirt from past use so could do with a deep clean or replacing. The property could do with some manuals especially for the heating.

The area was quiet and very peaceful. We only struggled with the heating, we noticed it was on and not sure at first how to turn off but my Partner worked it out. Our little doggie was comfortable too and the garden area was big enough for a morning walk for him, you just need to ensure to keep on a leash as it is not enclosed but so many places / beaches to go to for walks. We would definitely return to the cottage.
