The Old Workshop in Shropshire is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy log burner, and the thoughtful touches from the hosts, such as a welcome pack. The cottage's remote setting offers stunning views and tranquillity, though the narrow access lanes may require careful navigation. The local pub is noted for its hospitality and food.
Reviewers consistently mention the property being 'spotlessly clean' and 'well maintained', indicating a very high standard of cleanliness that guests are pleased with.
The location is described as remote and peaceful with lovely views, which guests find perfect for a retreat. However, some mention the single-track access roads as a minor challenge, which slightly impacts the score.
Guests find the cottage warm, cosy, and comfortable, with special mentions of a comfortable bed and a cosy wood burner. The only minor drawback noted is a small TV set, which some guests found difficult to view.
The property is praised for being well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and for providing local information and maps. Some minor issues with a TV remote and light bulbs are noted, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.
Many reviewers express gratitude for the thoughtful touches like the welcome pack with eggs, milk, and fudge. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
