Bathroom and kitchen were very clean and well appointed with all necessary modern appliances. Nice deep bath and electric shower. Nice little private walled garden area to sit out for some fresh air. Beautiful location and lots of history, walks and trails to explore. Heritage railway close by. Local pubs very friendly and welcoming. Finding a parking space not the easiest due to location close to the centre of the village. Brought 2 bikes with us but struggled to fit them in to the shed for security due to the ladders and building materials. Living room furniture not the most comfortable, especially the tub chairs. Unfortunately the twin bedroom had a strong smell of mould, and the living room of cat. Communication regarding our stay was excellent. I think this accommodation could easily be improved with just a deep clean and some comfortable seating.

We found the cottage small but comfortable for a week stay. Clean through out and lovely decor and furnishings. Parking outside was hit and miss. You do need to tuck in by the side of a wall on a slight bend. Luckily my husband is an experienced driver and we only have a little vehicle. Location how.... We found the cottage small but comfortable for a week stay. Clean through out and lovely decor and furnishings. Parking outside was hit and miss. You do need to tuck in by the side of a wall on a slight bend. Luckily my husband is an experienced driver and we only have a little vehicle. Location however in all lovely. The church bells behind do chime throughout the night ehixh took a little getting used to but I found it charming unlike my teen son. Kitchen is small but well equipped to whip up a full on roast dinner. Evenings in the village can be awkward eating out due to limited venues. (Cafes and tea rooms shut around 6) Especially Mondays as the stagshead shuts to. Ring ahead and get in early. All in all a beautiful base, friendly locals particularly at the stagshead, will definitely be back.
