Guests generally appreciate the stylish, well-appointed apartment with its stunning views and excellent location in Royal William Yard. The area offers a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of dining options and easy access to local attractions. While some minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance are noted, the overall experience is positive, with special mentions of the property's character and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts.
The apartment received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it spotlessly clean, while others noted floors and kitchenware that needed additional cleaning. The variance in experiences suggests occasional lapses rather than a consistent problem.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and abundance of local amenities, including restaurants, bars, and ferry connections. Its proximity to both Devon and Cornwall makes it an ideal base for exploring.
Most guests found the apartment comfortable, with a few mentioning limited ceilings and sound carrying through the apartment. The views and seating areas are appreciated, contributing to the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally good, with some guests highlighting the need for additional kitchen utensils and clearer instructions for appliances. The presence of games and a welcome pack are positives, but the lack of certain items like a bottle opener and coffee pods was noted.
Guests mentioned thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack with gin and tonic, which added to their experience. However, as these gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, they should be considered a bonus rather than an expectation.

! also the view from the lounge window was beautiful. Parked the car on arrival (added bonus allocated parking) and only used it once as the bus stops right outside the Yard. Plenty of places to eat so didnât have to cook once. We were very lucky with the weather and was able to get out and about, all in all a lovely holiday in a lovely place â¦. thank you Anna and John for sharing your apartment.

Having visited the south west many times previously, Plymouth was a place sign posted off the M5. However a week later I'm so glad we decided to visit. Royal William Yard is a lovely peaceful location. Previously a naval establishment from the 1800s, the old naval buildings are now converted into luxury apartments and a few restaurants. Prior to arrival, communication from the owner was good. On arrival day, we spoke with the housekeeper (nice lady) who met us at the apartment building and showed us our allocated parking space; plus helped with any information we required. The apartment itself is within one of the converted naval buildings and is very well put together, with just about everything we needed for our stay. We were provided with milk, coffee, tea etc plus some miniature Plymouth gin and tonics. Nice touches! The apartment (on two floors) is well decorated and appointed and was spotlessly clean. The view from the lounge window over the water was great, we spent ages just watching the various craft going past, with views towards Cremyll. Royal William Yard itself was lovely. The restaurants were good and sitting on the green in the sun was very relaxing. There is plenty to see within RWY with information displayed detailing the history of the place. We spent a number of evenings just walking around RWY plus sitting at restaurants on the waterfront. In addition there are benches outside the apartment where you can sit and watch the harbour. Access to Dartmoor and various beaches was easy. Another great day out was to use the Cremyll ferry which sets off nearby and then spend a few hours walking around the Mount Edgcumbe House and country park just across the bay. So a week later, would we visit Plymouth again - definitely. Would we visit this apartment again - most definitely!
