Because of its bohemian vibe and location amid rolling hills, Stroud has earned the nickname "the less commercial corner of the Cotswolds." The town used to be home to thousands of sheep when it was the centre of the Cotswold woollen industry. Visit Stroud today and enjoy its inviting cafes, charming bookshops, independent stores, and tantalising restaurants. A year-round farmers' market, year-round music and theatre performances, a thriving arts scene and a state of the art cinema make Stroud the "Covent Garden of the Cotswolds," according to Jasper Conran. There was a minute fridge freezer in a difficult corner . We could not look into it without getting on our knees. It was so small it would not hold the food we had taken for 2 people , certainly not big enough for a family. Also not mentioned on the details there was no microwave, which we consider a holiday esential. There was only one small sharp knife, no bread knife. There were no oven instructions, and no information about recycling . The sat nav does not take you to where the parking is.We had to ring the owner . I think it must be made clearer for people with difficulties on stairs and steps. Because of the above problems we left the property 3 days early.

.Luckily, we had excellent weather. The Area is easily accessible to Western Super Mare, where we spent one day. All in all, a very enjoyable break. Thank You.
