Snaptrip says

Thrushel Cottage in Lifton, Devon, is frequently praised for its cleanliness, beautiful location, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the secure garden for pets and children, and the thoughtful welcome gifts. While most find the cottage comfortable and cosy, some have noted issues with bed comfort and heating regulation.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests have reported the cottage to be very clean and tidy, with only a few isolated comments about cleanliness issues. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is consistently described as great, peaceful, and perfect for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Proximity to local amenities and the tranquil setting by the river are frequently mentioned as highlights.

While many guests find the cottage cosy and the living spaces comfortable, there are several complaints about the beds, particularly in the main bedroom. The comfort of the beds seems to be an area that could be improved.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the kitchen. However, some guests have reported issues with heating, windows, and a lack of instructions for appliances. Maintenance of the garden and provision of a second toilet were also suggested improvements.

Guests often mention and appreciate the welcome gifts, such as cream teas and scones, which add a thoughtful touch to their arrival. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Everything required for self catering was provided. With a pub and village shop only a short walk away. The only minus point, the bathroom has the worlds smallest wash hand basin. However an excellent value for money stay that I would recommend to friends and family.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The owner of the cottage left some scones, cream and jam which was very nice. It was a enjoyable stay and would go there again.

The cottage was clean and tidy, well equipped and perfect for our week long stay. The location was great as we were able to explore areas in both Devon and Cornwall, with shops nearby in Launceston and Tavistock as well as a great farm shop just down the road.
