Driftwood Haven is a well-regarded property in St. Ives, praised for its spaciousness, stylish decor, and prime location close to beaches and amenities. Guests appreciate the sea views from bedrooms and the property's quiet area, making it a comfortable base for exploring Cornwall. While some guests encountered cleanliness issues, the majority found the house clean and well-equipped, contributing to an enjoyable stay.
Most guests found Driftwood Haven to be clean and tidy, though there were a few reports of cleanliness not meeting expectations, including issues with floors and kitchen appliances. These instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The property's location is highly praised for its proximity to local attractions, beaches, and amenities like supermarkets and restaurants. The convenience of a nearby bus stop is also appreciated, despite some concerns about the narrow access lane.
Guests generally find the property comfortable, with ample space for larger groups and cosy furnishings. A few guests mentioned issues with sofa comfort and heavy duvets, but these comments were not widespread.
The property is well-equipped, offering a utility room, sea views from bedrooms, and a well-appointed kitchen, though some minor suggestions for improvements were made. Maintenance feedback includes the need for better shower grout cleaning and outdoor seating for the BBQ area.
While guests did not consistently receive welcome gifts, the property's overall presentation and amenities suggest a degree of thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts are a bonus and not a guaranteed feature of the stay.

The accommodation was of a very high standard and was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for six people. The kitchen had all the facilities we needed. We would be happy to stay at Driftwood Haven again.

Highly recommended.

What disappointed me after a long tiring journey,â¦there wasnât any welcome pack such as a pint of milk, tea or coffee. This wasnât a cheap property and little welcoming touches make a difference. There was a very thick duvet on the bed and needs to be changed in warm weather as made sleep very difficult. I was disappointed that we couldnât see the sea when sat in the garden as the pictures give the impression that you can. The back garden has no furniture and very little room for sitting out. The front garden has the sunshine in the mornings but there is no view except for a garage and driveway opposite and the garden is not particularly pretty. Overall I didnât think it represented good value for money.
