The property's welcoming touches, such as wine and biscuits, are noted, though these are not guaranteed for every stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

There is insufficient information in the reviews to assess the cleanliness of the property, hence no score can be provided.

The location is consistently lauded for being central, convenient, and within easy reach of Porthleven's attractions, restaurants, and coastal walks. One review mentioned noise disturbance, but this seems to be an isolated concern.

Guests find the property comfortable, describing it as a 'home from home' with spacious rooms and a homely feel. The property's comfort is a recurring compliment among reviewers.

The property is well-equipped and the inclusion of a garage is frequently appreciated. However, one review mentioned poor Wi-Fi and TV facilities, which slightly impacts the overall score.

While guests have mentioned welcome gifts such as wine and biscuits, as these are not consistently referenced across all reviews, it cannot be guaranteed that such gestures are a standard practice for every stay.

This was our 4th stay at Kestrel and we love it. The location is superb and parking on site is priceless. Everything about the house is comfortable, warm and welcoming. It’s easy to get to so many places from Porthleven plus there are some lovely walks close by. We’ll be back

We have stayed in Porthleven 5 times in total. This cottage was the most central and the convenience of access to facilities was offset by the racket we endured. Unbeknown to us, Shute Lane appears to be a main arterial route to this side of Porthleven. This meant there was an endless stream of vehicles including a reversing bin wagon at 0509 hrs. On the Saturdays (day of arrival) we wanted a quiet night in after a very long drive but unfortunately an open air bar has appeared in the harbour and the din of the music could be heard all night up until they closed at 11pm. I'm not clear why they've been given permission for this, given the quiet nature of the fishing port. Overall I would not stay in this cottage again.
