Snaptrip says

Sea Cliff Cottage in St. Austell, Cornwall, receives high praise for its stunning views, well-equipped amenities, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the eco hot tub, cinema room, and the welcome hamper, noting the property's cleanliness and the helpfulness of the housekeeper, Claire. While some mention challenges with the hot tub heating and access due to steep steps, the overall sentiment is one of comfort and enjoyment in a beautiful location.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as very clean, with guests feeling reassured, especially during the Covid era. The housekeeper's responsiveness to cleanliness and maintenance issues contributes to the high score.

The location is celebrated for its stunning views, privacy, and proximity to local attractions like beaches and coastal walks. Some guests mention the challenging access due to steep hills and narrow lanes, but overall, the location is highly regarded.

Guests find the cottage comfortable and well-appointed, with spacious bedrooms and high-quality linen. Some guests note that certain furniture could be more comfortable and that the hot tub requires effort to heat, slightly affecting the comfort score.

Facilities such as the cinema room, hot tub, and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues like the hot tub's heating time and minor repairs needed, which slightly lower the score.

The thoughtful touches, such as welcome hampers with local goodies and a bottle of gin, are frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests. While these gifts are highly valued, it's noted that such personal touches, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Great decor annd furniture. Even in April the warm sun on the front terrace was just lovely for a sundowner. It’s a great base and easy to get around from the location. The beach in Pentewen is gorgeous , the Pentewen trail is flat and easy to walk for all abilities. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a short drive. Claire was very friendly and helpful.

The attention to detail really made a huge difference with the goodies in the fridge, Prosecco, popcorn and chocolates. Thank you so much. Clare was so helpful and responded straight away to every query we had. James also came over to get the hot tub going for us when we struggled because of the damp logs, and went above and beyond staying to make sure it was going properly before he left. The house itself was absolutely perfect for us and we couldn’t fault it. Thanks again - we had a wonderful stay!

Quirky, like many older properties, particularly in Cornwall, but well appointed, beautiful views and picturesque setting. Pentewan is a lovely village and benefits from a good pub, a local shop, proximity to the coastal path, excellent beaches, and amenities (supermarkets etc) at St. Austell. Nothing not to like about the cottage but if I had a choice I would love a more comfortable sofa in the living room. Be aware of the many steep steps to the upper terrace which means you get the great views, and access to the hot tub which is fab (and kept my husband usefully occupied for several hours - he loved it!) but it does take some attention and time to heat
