Guests generally appreciate the Godrevy cottage for its homely feel, cleanliness, and stunning location with beautiful coastal paths. The property is well-appointed and offers a comfortable stay with amazing views. A welcome basket adds a thoughtful touch, though its contents may vary. Some guests noted minor issues with maintenance and the occasional disturbance from a nearby foghorn.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with multiple reviews highlighting its cleanliness, which suggests a high standard maintained by the property.
The location is praised for its beauty and proximity to coastal paths and the village. However, the mention of a foghorn disturbing the peace for some guests slightly affects the score.
Reviews indicate the cottage is very comfortable, with a homely feel and comfortable furnishings. The presence of a foghorn was noted but not considered a major issue by most.
Facilities are generally good, but some guests mentioned issues such as peeling paint, beetles, and a flickering TV, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
Guests were delighted by the welcome basket, which added a thoughtful touch to their stay. However, as gifts are not guaranteed, this is a pleasant bonus rather than a standard provision.

In association with Trinity House, we are pleased to present Lizard Lighthouse. Located on the Southern-most tip of mainland Britain, the six adjacent cottages of Lizard Lighthouse present guests with dazzling scenery and coastal walks right from the doorstep. Rare and beautiful flora and fauna make this cliff top location particularly special.
Lizard Lighthouse is a fully working lighthouse, first established in 1619. The distinctive two white towers that it is known for today were built in 1751 by private entrepreneur Thomas Fonnereau, and first lit on 22 August of that year. Trinity House gained control of the lights in 1771 and continues to look after its operation to this day. It became electrified in 1924 and then fully automated in 1998. It has a 26 mile light range and an automatic 3 mile fog signal if conditions are misty. The nearby Lizard Village provides shops, restaurants and a friendly pub only ¼ mile away.
Additional Information:

Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.

The cottage was beautifully clean, everything we needed to have a perfect holiday. The views are amazing. No need to move the car, walks in all directions from the cottage and the village just 10 minute walk up the road. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Godrevy has a homely feel , we stayed here last year too , just a couple of things that could be improved, you get several beetles in the hall, and bathroom, and the paint is peeling badly in the bedroom although it doesn’t smell damp , also the TV takes 10mins for the screen to stop flickering before you can watch it not good if the have light sensitivity,

The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. It was well appointed. The location and outlook was excellent. There was a good choice of places to eat and drink within walking distance. However, there was a downside. Nothing can prepare you for the fog rolling in at 4am and the foghorn going off and its frequency every 30 seconds. We were aware of the possibility but couldn’t get used to it so we left early.
