Lathkill Barn is appreciated for its cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent location, offering a perfect base for exploring the Peak District. Guests enjoy the presence of animals on the farm and the comfort of the beds. Some concerns were raised about maintenance issues and the need for updates, particularly regarding the shower size and secure outdoor areas for dogs.
The property is generally praised for its cleanliness, with guests finding it very clean and comfortable. However, there were comments about dog waste in shared areas and flies, which slightly affected the score.
The location is highly regarded, being close to Bakewell and Chatsworth, with beautiful scenery and a working farm environment. The rural setting and proximity to attractions contribute to a high score.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the barn cosy, but there are several mentions of inadequate seating, a small shower, and noisy floorboards, which suggests room for improvement in overall comfort.
Facilities are adequate but several maintenance issues such as leaks, damp patches, and the need for better lighting have been noted. The presence of farm dogs and their behaviour also impacted this score.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, aside from the owner's prompt response to issues. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

The cottage itself was very comfortable and clean and quite spacious. The owners were very welcoming and pleasant and made us feel at home.one slight issue was the gate at the back in the garden section could do with something to cover the lower part off the gate as our little chi managed to escape underneath it.will definitely visit again, very pleased with everything.

It was very comfortable and I was extremely grateful to the owner for accommodating us at such short notice.
