Guests say

Fable Cottage in Bakewell is highly praised for its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and excellent location close to local amenities and scenic walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space and the property's proximity to the town, despite some concerns over Wi-Fi reliability and a downstairs bathroom.

Guests consistently report that the cottage is immaculately clean, with only one mention of an issue with bedding that was promptly reported but not resolved during the stay.

The location is celebrated for its convenience to shops, pubs, and local attractions, with easy access to walking routes. However, the steep hill may be challenging for some, slightly impacting the score.

The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, with a well-equipped setting for a relaxing stay. The only detractor is the mention of a difficult staircase and the inconvenience of a downstairs bathroom.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the inclusion of games and reading material. However, there are several mentions of unreliable Wi-Fi affecting the use of the Smart TV, which impacts the score.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to score this category.

The beds were very comfortable and it’s very convenient for a short walk into central Bakewell. The only watch-outs are that the stairs are very steep and bare wood so can be treacherous (especially if anyone has mobility issues or very small children), plus the wi-fi drops out occasionally. Despite that, we would highly recommended it!

The cottage is very cosy and well equipped. Just a short walk into Bakewell (albeit a steep walk back!) Would definitely recommend this property.

The cottage is in a really quiet part of Bakewell away from the hustle and bustle. It was really clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. The only niggle was the poor WiFi signal which meant the smart tv kept going off which wasn't much fun when trying to watch a film. We would happily stay again.
