Snaptrip says

Barn Cottage is a well-received holiday rental in a beautiful, peaceful location, ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and nearby areas. Guests have praised the comfortable accommodation, the warm welcome from the hosts, and the thoughtful touches such as homemade jam. While some minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance were mentioned, the overall experience is one of a cosy, well-equipped cottage that provides a tranquil retreat.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage comfortable and well-maintained, though there were a few mentions of cobwebs, dust, and dog hair. These seem to be isolated comments rather than a general trend.

The location is consistently praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and convenience for accessing the Yorkshire Dales, Lancaster area, and Cumbria. It is described as a perfect setting for walks and exploring nearby attractions.

Guests have reported the beds to be very comfortable and the accommodation cosy. However, there were some concerns about the warmth of the cottage during cold weather and the size of the living space for larger groups.

The cottage is generally seen as well-equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen and good facilities. Some guests suggested improvements such as worktop protectors and a larger freezer, and there were issues with the wood burner and draughts.

The hosts are frequently commended for their thoughtfulness, including welcoming touches like homemade jam and dog biscuits. It should be noted that while these gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

The location is a hidden gem, very quiet and pretty yer year to attractions, towns, walks and facilities. The cottage itself is cosy and clean. We cooked in the kitchen which had everything you would need to make an array of meals and the wood burner was cosy of an evening. Dog friendly and we also had a four year old who loved playing with the Lego in the games cupboard. The living space is cosy but this wasn't a problem for us and the bedrooms were good sizes. Utes homemade plum jam also delicious! Would definitely go back and recommend.

Very comfortable and cosy with all the furnishings, kitchenware etc. needed for a very enjoyable stay. Ireby village itself is very pleasant and well-located for exploring the Dales and the Lake District. Good shopping in Kirkby Lonsdale just a few minutes-drive away, with the bright lights of Ingleton as close. Great and unobtrusive help from Ute (vielen dank). Would certainly recommend.

Could benefit from having a small freezer as the one in the fridge was a bit small especially for a family of 4. My only issue and it is only very small, was that behind the beds headboards was quite a collection of cobwebs and spiders. The neighbours are very friendly and if you’re looking for something quite this is a perfect location.
