Glenwood in Rothbury is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and ideal location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, the friendly and helpful owners, and the thoughtful welcome pack. While some minor issues with facilities and mattresses were noted, the overall experience is very positive, with recommendations for future stays.
Guests consistently mention that the property is very clean, with only one minor comment about a sensitive smoke alarm, which does not directly relate to cleanliness.
The property is appreciated for its quiet residential area, proximity to the town centre, and ease of access to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Northumberland.
The property is generally found to be comfortable and roomy, with a particularly comfortable conservatory. However, there are comments about springy and noisy mattresses, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the property being well-equipped. Some guests suggested improvements such as clearer recycling instructions and the addition of WiFi, which is currently lacking.
The owners are noted for their thoughtfulness, providing a generous welcome pack and fresh flowers. It should be noted that such gestures are at the owners' discretion and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

But it was a lovely base for us to visit Alnwick Castle and The Poisoned Gardens. Thank you

However the mattresses were all quite springy/noisy and uncomfortable, and as we were busy during the days we needed to rest well. If the mattresses were replaced this would be the perfect stay!

Bathroom and beds really good. Easy parking outside of the house. Rothbury centre a short walk downhill. Added attraction in the cosy conservatory.
