Park up off-road and travel through the front garden, reaching your new home. Step inside and you'll be welcomed by a warm, homely atmosphere, perfect for spending your quality time together. The open-plan living space provides an ideal spot for relaxation, with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a sofa bed; here you can enjoy a home-cooked meal together or simply recline with a good book, while the surrounding windows let in plenty of natural light to admire the beautiful views. Allendale is ideally placed for access to Carlisle and Lake District to the west, Hexham, Newcastle and Durham to the east and the Hadrian's Wall just to the north, as well as the Scottish Borders. There are lots of walks, cycling opportunities and unspoilt villages in the surrounding North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding countryside or travelling further north to the glorious Heritage Coastline. Allendale is home to the New Year tradition of Tar Bar'ls well worthing seeing or visit in the autumn to visit the Allen Valleys Folk Festival. Furthermore Allendale is a popular stay for cyclists carrying out the Coast to Coast.

It was our first self-catering holiday and it was a very enjoyable introduction. Perfect. The peace and quiet was wonderful but attractive villages are close by in really ùuâ¸Ã¾Ã§lovely countryside.

. my kids and I had a great stay cation for 4 nights. The open fields, cool breeze and scenery were an amazing bonus. Thank you to the owners for the delicious orange cake on arrival.. wish we could have stayed longer.
