Owners very helpful and friendly on arrival . Lots of places to visit or just go for a drive. Drawbacks for us personally lack of privacy to hot tub (hence only used once). Road noise as right next to busy a66 .

Everything necessary for the weeks' stay was provided. The only drawback for me was the traffic noise from the A66 - it was actually noisier than London! We found the location to be handy for exploring the area. It's situated yards from the Pennine so would be ideal for walkers. There is no village shop but nearby Barnard Castle has several supermarkets and there are some farm shops not to far away.
