About this property

Charming Toad Hall is a converted village school house, full of character with many original features situated in the coastal village of Burnham Deepdale, close to Burnham Market and Brancaster beach.

Perfect for family gatherings, this dog-friendly property boasts a spacious sitting room with vaulted beamed ceiling and cosy wood burning stove, ideal for relaxing on cooler nights; and a large beamed kitchen/dining room, perfect for socialising. On warmer days the french doors open into the pretty gated garden for summertime dining and barbecues.

There are four bedrooms in the cottage, three downstairs which all have vaulted ceilings. Upstairs, on the first floor is the large master bedroom with a beautiful leaded glass window overlooking the garden and a large family bathroom.

This traditional flint house has off road parking for up to four cars and is in a superb location, with a small supermarket and an array of shops just a stone's throw away. The renowned White Horse pub/restaurant and family-friendly Jolly Sailor pub (voted best family pub/restaurant recently) is within easy walking distance, as is the harbour and the salt marshes.

Please note: The single beds in bedrooms three and four are slightly smaller than a normal 3' single bed therefore, they are more suitable for children.

This is a lovely house in a great location for the boardwalks and White Horse pub! The layout of the house works really well for two families as the bedrooms are located on different sides of the house, which means if people are up early (kids/babies) it doesn’t disturb the whole house. Easy parking for two cars and secure for dogs to use the garden. We will definitely return as the price is also more reasonable than some holiday lets in the area.

Lovely cottage comfortable and cosy. Or third year running of staying here, so that says a lot.

The cottage was wonderful - very homely, clean and spacious. It is in the perfect location for beaches, pubs, coastal path, well stocked shop, craft shops and garage. The beds are comfortable. The wood burners very welcome. Easy check in. There is a large garden to the front and plenty of parking. You can walk out and reach the coastal path in 5-10mins. There is a lovely walk along the coastal path to the little harbour - really lovely at sunset. Closest Beach is about a 10 minute drive. We visited 5 beaches - all within 20 min drive. We recommend the Jolly Sailors Pub especially on a Monday night for the Nelson Sea Shantymen who rehearse there. We will be back.
