Lord Landless lodge in Windermere offers a comfortable stay with a fantastic hot tub and is praised for its location. The lodge's tasteful decoration and the daily maintenance of the hot tub are highlights. While some guests suggest improvements and maintenance, the setting and proximity to local attractions are consistently appreciated.
Cleanliness is generally good with some guests finding the lodge tidy upon arrival. However, there are mentions of sofas needing a clean and outdoor areas requiring attention, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly regarded, being peaceful yet close to main facilities and within a short distance from the heart of Windermere and Ambleside, making it an ideal base for exploring.
Comfort is noted with comfy beds and a warm lodge atmosphere. Some guests mention noise from the hot tub and boiler, and issues with dining seating, indicating some comfort concerns.
Facilities like the hot tub are well-received, but there are several reports of maintenance issues such as broken appliances and furniture that need addressing to enhance the overall experience.
While some guests would appreciate welcome gifts and essentials, there is insufficient information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. It should be noted that gifts are not guaranteed.

Needs a makeover inside and out . To be listed as a 5 berth is ridicules. Yes 5 beds but you wouldnt sit 5 people on a night overal disappointed. The site itself was very nice.

T V remote did not work and was also warped screen. Dishwasher did not work. Called Syke cottages and was told owner aware. However nothing done to address issues. I find this poor given the price.

. for example, the knives & forks are plastic/metal so under normal pressure they bend making them unusable. The water pressure struggles, the main bedroom has a sleeping position with the hot tub within 3 feet and the boiler within 2, so noise is constant throughout the night (think van engine). Similarly with the white detectors, flashing a bright white light every 30 seconds throughout the night, its tortuous & requires eye masks. Also WiFi not included but the lodge has 3 routers dotted about, clearly available but not offered.. parkdean wifi kept kicking us off. All in all, very grateful & we managed, had a lovely break but not likely to be back. The lodge needs some attention on the small touches, like a welcome pack about the facilities & hot tub etc.. how to minimise noise etc, dont run water when someone is in the shower etc. & new cutlery.. kitchen door handles need a good clean, there's lumpy residue on some of them.
