Staveley 1.5 miles. A superb semi-detached holiday home, situated within a wonderful barn conversion at Ghyll Bank, one and a half miles from the village of Staveley. The cottage has three spacious bedrooms, one on the ground floor and two with adaptable beds providing flexible sleeping arrangements. There are also three excellent bathrooms, perfectly appointed, and there are spectacular views of the Lake District fells reaching all the way to the Cumbrian coastline. The farmhouse-style kitchen has a breakfast area and overlooks the bright and airy sitting room, which has a handy door leading onto the patio where stunning views of the surrounding countryside can be admired at any time of the day. This excellent cottage is a superb holiday base for friends and families all year round. Note: This property is attached to Refs. 11534 and 11535, together they sleep 17.
Just five miles from the famous town of Windemere, Staveley is truly in the heart of the Lakelands. This charming village is just a stone's throw from the borders of the Lake District National Park and offers wonderful and scenic opportunities for walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts. The village itself is well-served by a number of shops, a trio of pubs and a railway station, offering relaxing rides through the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the famous Lake Windemere, where you can soak up the spectacular panorama from a boat or take a ferry trip to the Lakeside Aquarium or the Grizedale Forest Park. Ambleside, the centre of English mountaineering, is also close by offering visitors the chance to go climbing.

Excellent service & would definitely book again ,great location 10 mins drive to Windermere & Staveley village has everything shops bars chippy bakers etc ,,,

Cottage is still good, in a wonderful position, with walks from the front door and fabulous views. Unfortunately holiday was spoilt a bit by very wet weather and the 2 other couples due to join us were unable to do so.
