Snaptrip says

Gables Cottage in Lincolnshire receives high praise for its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, the friendly and helpful hosts, and the presence of animals, adding to the charm. The cottage's location offers easy access to local attractions and the countryside. Some guests mention minor issues with seating and road noise, but overall experiences are positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests find the cottage to be very clean, with only a single report of cleanliness being questionable. The high standard of cleanliness is frequently mentioned, contributing to the overall positive experience.

The location is generally well-received for its proximity to Market Rasen, supermarkets, and travel routes. Some guests note traffic noise and road access concerns, but the location is also praised for its beautiful countryside and convenience for exploring the area.

Comfort is highlighted in many reviews, with particular mention of cosy fireplaces and comfortable beds. Some guests find the seating arrangements inadequate for the cottage's capacity, and there are comments about the firmness of the sofa and the presence of bean bags, which may not suit everyone.

Facilities are generally regarded as exceptional, with a well-fitted kitchen and thoughtful touches like a welcome basket of eggs. However, there are some criticisms regarding the TV reception and seating, which suggest room for improvement in maintenance and amenities.

While guests often mention the thoughtfulness of the hosts, including the provision of fresh eggs and the allowance of animal interactions, there is not enough information to determine if such gifts are consistent or guaranteed. Therefore, a score cannot be accurately provided.

It is very well equipped everything you need for a holiday. The owners were very friendly but not intrusive. The location of the cottage is really good for exploring Lincolnshire.A bonus is the Ice Cream cafe a short walk from the property. Just one very small comment there is only a mirror in the bathroom. It would be helpful to have a mirror in the bedroom.

The welcome folder said we would be greeted on arrival by the owners, which didn’t happen and during the week they hardly spoke at all. We were left two toilet rolls for the entire week, would expect to be left around four or so, no kitchen towel, lucky we took our own. Settee in lounge had seen much better days, had to put a cushion under the part you sit on to prevent sliding off the front. But best of all we asked if the heating could be put on just in the evenings as it was chilly during our stay, which in the welcome folder said could be done, only to be told it was controlled centrally and was already on 19 or 20 degrees. This was ridiculous because at home we put our heating on those temperatures if a chilly evening and our radiators feel very hot, the radiators at the holiday home were never even lukewarm and I believe weren’t even on !! The owners offered us some logs to put the wood burner on, but this was in the bedroom at the far end of the property and we didn’t want a hot bedroom that would smell of woodsmoke making our clothes stink as well. Lastly, the tea towels were disgusting, they were so stained that anybody else would have thrown them out years ago. Apart from that it was fine.

Lovely and cosy in the evenings. The modern kitchen is amazing. The outside warm water dog wash, was really useful, after a walk in the nearby forest. Friendly hosts were always happy to offer local advice.
