Recommended for outdoor enthusiasts, Devil's Chimney is a beauty spot to visit on your travels, along with the flowing waters of Glencar Waterfall, whilst Truskmore Mountain and Gleniff Horseshoe are fitting for avid walkers and hikers, displaying stunning views across the rolling hills of County Sligo. Gather your loved ones for a nature-filled break at Carpenter's Cottage.

A breath-taking journey through the Gleniff Horseshoe, a valley between the Truskmore and Kings Mountains, begins near the town of Grange in the County of Sligo. The unusually shaped Benbulben Mountain, which is regarded as the emblem of County Sligo around the world, is located at the base of the Dartry Mountain range, which includes Grange. Benbulben Mountain, which was formed by glaciers during the Ice Age, is home to a rich variety of flora and wildlife, including several species that are unique to its slopes in Ireland. A variety of stores, bars, and restaurants can be found in the county town of Sligo, which is just 10 miles away. Due to the quantity of shells in the waters surrounding the town, its name is derived from the Gaelic word Sligeach, which means Shelly River.

We loved staying here for the week. We could reverse the cars into the property and wash our wetsuits with the outside tap. The electric shower was great after being in the sea. It was warm and comfortable and within 5 mins of Streedagh beach and 4 mins of Lissadell house. There is so much to see and do in the area. We would highly recommend staying here. Paul was a wonderful host as there was a welcome pack when we arrived. We will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends.

Beds are comfortable and kitchen well equipped, also space to bring two cars round the back of the property. - Bathroom is a little ‘tired’ and heating can only be operated when at property; no timer on control.
