Guests appreciate the property's proximity to local attractions and the coast path. The cottage's charm and the owners' responsiveness add to a positive experience, although some guests noted areas for improvement.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few reviews mentioned issues with cleaning standards, including light switches, cutlery, and the presence of cobwebs, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to the coast, local pubs, and tourist attractions. The village of Trefin is appreciated for its quiet charm, making it an ideal base for exploring Pembrokeshire.

Guests generally regard the cottage as comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy lounge, wood burner, and comfortable beds. Some guests experienced issues with heating controls, but overall, the comfort level is well-regarded.

The cottage is equipped with a range of facilities, including a well-appointed kitchen and a hot tub. While many guests are satisfied, some noted maintenance issues such as the bathroom's ventilation and hot tub temperature control, indicating a need for attention to certain facilities.

While some guests mentioned a welcome pack and the owners' responsiveness, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures such as gifts. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will be provided.

About this property

Just a short drive from St Davids, Britain's smallest city and a few minutes’ walk from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, this pretty stone cottage has a private hot tub and is perfect for a couple or a small family. If you like beaches and harbours you will be spoilt for choice with Porthgain, the Blue Lagoon, Traethllyfn (National Trust beach), Abereiddy, St Davids and Whitesands to choose from.

At the end of the day there is a friendly local The Ship Inn which serves pub meals and if you prefer to dine out in the morning The Mill cafe serves delicious home cooked breakfasts.

The coastal bus passes through the village and gives guests the chance to walk a different section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path each day.

Well worth a visit are the offshore bird islands of Ramsey, Skomer where you can see Puffins and Shearwaters in season.

The city of St Davids is situated on the far south west coast of Wales. Granted city status by Queen Elizabeth II, it is the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral dating back to the 12th century and the ruins of the Bishop's Palace, both wonderful buildings to explore. Situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, St Davids is a delightful place with an array of unique shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs, surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery. Nearby Whitesands Bay is one of the many beautiful beaches in the area, and walkers will delight in the spectacular views from the coastal path which runs around the complete coastline of Pembrokeshire. Local buses will help with your walking plans, so that you can walk several stretches of the path with totally different landscapes and views each day. Dolphin spotting from land or from the many boat trips to local islands are a must, and are also perfect for enjoying the wonderful array of birds in their natural habitat. St Davids is the perfect holiday destination, whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing break, wonderful walking, a round of golf, an exploration of magnificent castles or fun-filled days at Oakwood Theme Park, farm parks and much more.

It worsened as the week progressed and we felt nauseous every time we used the bathroom. We washed and cleaned our teeth in the kitchen and showered with the outside and bathroom doors open. My wife slept in the room adjoining it and became more nauseous, with loss of appetite and a cough, as the week progressed. It was a lovely property but let down badly by the drain.

So much character and history, yet with the modern day touches that you need. The cottage is located in a Beautiful part of Pembrokeshire with the beach and rock pools a short walk away. Lots of fabulous walking available on your doorstep. On those rainy days there are castles, gardens, cathedrals, palaces and adventure parks a short drive away. Highly recommended.

1 toilet roll for 3 adults for the weekend is just stingy. No toiletries, no tea towels or kitchen roll. You can't advertise the cottage with a cosy fire if you're not going to provide the wood and kindling for people to actually use it. Also your guests who have paid £225 per night to have stripped all the beds and put various linens in various bags, put rubbish in various bags in various bins and have cleaned the dishes and put them away all before an early 10am check out is not right. Overall for £225 per night.... I'd expect a hell of a lot more.
