Snaptrip says

Derlwyn is a well-received cottage in Newport, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and cosy atmosphere, ideal for families and dog owners. The garden adds to its charm, and the property's proximity to local amenities and coastal walks is a highlight. Some guests suggest minor improvements in maintenance and facilities, but overall, the cottage offers a delightful stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the cottage's spotless condition, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. The property appears to be well-maintained and prepared for new arrivals.

The location is frequently praised for being quiet yet convenient, close to the town's pubs, shops, and coastal walks. The ability to charge an electric car nearby is also mentioned as a bonus.

The cottage is described as comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, some guests mention that the upstairs space is a bit cramped and the double mattress could be more comfortable.

While the kitchen and bathroom are modern and well-received, guests have pointed out issues with lighting, a lack of certain kitchen utensils, and maintenance concerns like the broken hob ignition. These are recurring themes that suggest room for improvement.

The provision of a welcome pack is appreciated, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned across reviews, it is important to note that such amenities are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

Derlwyn suits us perfectly and the facilities are ideal for our golden retriever. The double mattress could do with replacing , it’s isn’t the most comfortable .Otherwise all good . Thank you for the welcome pack .

The kitchen is very well equipped, we cooked Christmas dinner here and had enough of everything to enable this . The cottage is 5 minutes walk into the village on a quiet back street. The garden is lovely and enclosed , our dog tried unsuccessfully to get out !! Which was very reassuring!! Thoroughly enjoyed our 3rd visit here Susie had so kindly decorated the cottage for Christmas for us , a very nice touch We will certainly be back
