Pen y Parc is consistently praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the conservatory with garden views. The local pub adds to the charm, offering good food and a friendly environment. The cottage's character and the host's hospitality contribute to a highly recommended stay, despite a few mentions of a less comfortable double bed and an oil smell.
Guests frequently commend the cottage for its cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean and tidy', 'beautifully clean', and 'well maintained'. There is a single mention of an oil smell, but this does not seem to detract significantly from the overall perception of cleanliness.
The location is often highlighted for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions and the North Wales coast. The village's friendliness and the nearby pub are also appreciated. The scenic views and peaceful environment contribute to the high rating.
Comfort is generally rated highly, with mentions of comfortable seating and beds. However, there are a couple of remarks about the main double bed being uncomfortable and the steep stairs, which slightly lower the score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the kitchen being described as 'well equipped' and the conservatory as a highlight. The garden is also appreciated. There is a mention of an oil smell, which suggests a possible issue with maintenance, but overall, the facilities are praised.
While the reviews reflect a welcoming and helpful host, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Sue made us feel very welcome. The cottage was absolutely sparkling. It contained everything we needed to cook, clean and relax. The pub opposite (Eagle and Child) were extremely welcoming. Provided excellent food. Will definitely stay again.

Clean and well furnished, with comfortable beds and a sunny, secluded garden. A great base for exploring the area and, if you don't feel like cooking, or just fancy a cheeky pint, the Eagle & Child is just 40 steps away (we counted!). We will certainly be returning. Thanks
Simon
Clean, tidy and well set up,the village is just perfect and quiet. However we are so sorry to say that there are 2 major issues that need attention. The main double bed was absolutely awful. I have bruises on my hips, elbows and shoulders from the springs poking through. We tried to alleviate it by laying blankets and pillows over it but to no joy. Without trying to sleep on it you wonât know. The other was the smell from the oil tank. There must either be a leak or spillage from a recent fill up.
