The dining table is in the middle and enables guests to enjoy a leisurely meal whilst soaking up the view; the comfortable sitting area has quality leather sofas and chairs. With great attention to detail throughout, the property boasts oak flooring downstairs and a unique, wrought-iron spiral staircase, designed and crafted at the local forge in Egton. This leads up to a mezzanine landing and two very pretty bedrooms, both with en-suites. Outside is a private cobbled courtyard - a sunny and sheltered spot to sit with a glass of wine, watch the wonderful sunsets or the steam trains passing in the valley below. There is also a furnished balcony outside the kitchen where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views. The surrounding area is a walker's paradise, with a network of footpaths and trails through the stunning moorland scenery, including a 20-minute walk to the nearby pub, an excellent choice for good food. A visit to Whitby is a must, with its quaint narrow streets, famous abbey and long, sandy beaches. Wander down to the historic harbour, visit the Captain Cook Museum, or enjoy an evening's ghost walk! With the dramatic coastline to explore and the market towns of Pickering, Helmsley and Malton close by, Cooper's Barn provides an excellent base, all year round. Egton Bridge is one of Yorkshire's prettiest villages, positioned on the River Esk in a steep sided valley. It is also well situated to explore the North York Moors and Whitby.
