As a base, you have everything close by with an award-winning fish and chip shop just around the corner, plus many restaurants, shops and pubs.  The property is just yards from the famous Scarborough cricket ground, where you may catch some excellent test cricket. 

The Alpamare waterpark is just a few minutes’ walk away, as is Peasholm Park, where you can enjoy the lakes and gardens, or have a go on the pedalos or rowing boats.  You can even watch the brass bands that play throughout the summer.  Once a week in the summer, there is a re-enactment of a warship battle using model boats on the lake which has been enjoyed by many children and adults alike, over the years.  The Open Air Theatre, the largest in Europe, is a 5-minute walk away, where you can see famous acts entertaining throughout the . . .
