Snaptrip says

Willow River Lodge in Shropshire is highly praised for its stunning location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests enjoy the peaceful setting, wildlife, and the hot tub, with many appreciating the thoughtful touches like Prosecco and the well-equipped lodge. While most experiences are positive, a few guests encountered issues with the TV and slippery decking.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'spotless' and 'immaculately clean'. This suggests a very high standard of cleanliness maintained at the property.

The location is frequently described as beautiful, peaceful, and ideal for nature lovers. The proximity to wildlife and the river adds to the charm, although a few guests noted limited local dining options.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds and sofas comfortable and the lodge cosy. There is a single mention of beds being a bit small for taller guests, but overall the sentiment is very positive.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the hot tub and log burner. However, there are some concerns about the TV not working and the decking being slippery, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance.

Guests often mention thoughtful gestures such as a bottle of Prosecco and fresh flowers, which contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

! The property ticked all the boxes (and I mean ALL the boxes). The location was great, right at the side of the river. The property was clean and comfortable and little touches such as the bottle of Prosecco waiting for us, the fresh flowers in the window, the logs for the log burner, the blankets for sitting out on an evening etc etc made our stay really special. The hot tub was also a great great addition and we enjoyed relaxing in after our days out exploring the local area. I can't thank the Property Owner enough...our stay was !

My wife loved the little touches like the bottle of prossecco and the fresh flowers especially as it was her 50th birthday while we were there. Hot tub was super and the views were fantastic. Perfect relaxing trip. Would definitely think about booking again.

Every comfort and need had been thoughtfully catered for. Even a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and fairy lights on the decking made us feel cosy and Christmassy. The contacts answering our queries were very patient, courteous and knowledgeable. We did struggle without internet access, as everything is online nowadays. The draw full of brochures gave some information, but we could've investigated the area more had we had access to maps to find local eateries, petrol stations etc. Overall a thoroughly amazing break. A real Christmas treat. Worth every penny. Thank you.
