Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, the proximity to nature and dog-friendly walks, as well as the thoughtful touches like fresh eggs and treats for pets. While most found the cottage comfortable and well-equipped, a few noted areas for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with multiple reviews highlighting its immaculate condition. One isolated comment mentioned the presence of beetles, but this seems to be an exception rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its peace, quiet, and beautiful countryside views. It's noted for being close to local amenities and offering easy access to walks and nearby villages, making it an ideal rural retreat.

Guests find the cottage cosy and welcoming, with a warm atmosphere and comfortable furnishings. However, there are a few remarks about the shower room being on the small side, which suggests that while comfort is generally high, there is room for improvement.

The cottage is well-furnished and equipped for a pleasant stay, but some guests have pointed out issues with the bathroom facilities and suggested that certain aspects require updating or repair.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing fresh eggs and dog treats. It's important to note that such personal touches, while appreciated, may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

All of these activities are offered in the nearby Oaker Wood activity centre. You can tour the interior and grounds of the renowned National Trust sites Croft Castle, a castellated 17th-century manor house, within a short drive, or Berrington Hall, a stunning neoclassical 18th-century mansion designed by Henry Holland, to see Capability Brown's final complete estate (which includes a serpentine pool).
