Snaptrip says

1 Braeside is a well-received cottage, praised for its cosiness, warmth, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the homely touches, the responsiveness of the owner, and the property's suitability for walkers and those seeking tranquillity. While some guests mention minor issues with parking and comfort, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with only one mention of a less than satisfactory level of cleanliness in the fridge and behind furniture. The positive remarks suggest a high standard of cleanliness overall.

The location is generally appreciated for its beauty and peacefulness, ideal for walking and enjoying the countryside. However, some guests noted the proximity to a main road and associated noise, and the remoteness in terms of proximity to amenities.

Guests found the cottage to be cosy and the beds comfortable, with the exception of one guest who found the main bed less so. The living space is described as roomy and the fire adds to the comfort. The sofas, however, received mixed reviews regarding comfort.

While guests are generally satisfied with the facilities, there are comments about the steep stairs, parking challenges, and a suggestion for a dishwasher and larger bed. The lack of detailed reviews on other facilities such as the kitchen equipment or entertainment options means a score cannot be accurately provided.

The owner's thoughtfulness is highlighted by several guests, mentioning welcome trays with wine and provisions for dogs. It's important to note that such personal touches, while appreciated, may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Not far from Stanhope, the cottage is surrounded by fields of sheep. Very picturesque!!!

Stunning views all around. Beds comfy, kitchen well stocked and the log fire was lovely to have. The record player was a nice touch, my teenagers loved it. Owner was friendly and provided advice on local places. Parking not an issue for us, we easily squeezed into the available space and there was ample street parking nearby. Would recommend a stay here and we would return in the future.
