Snaptrip says

Carnmore Cottage is appreciated for its excellent location, close to amenities and the town centre, with a special mention for the warm welcome provided by the host, Pat. The property offers a cosy atmosphere with a woodburning stove and is well-equipped for a relaxing break. However, some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance, suggesting attention to detail could enhance the overall experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Several guests were not impressed with the cleanliness, mentioning the need for mopping floors and removing cobwebs. This suggests room for improvement in this area.

The cottage is well-located, close to supermarkets and a short walk from the town centre, with easy access to riverside walks, making it a convenient choice for visitors.

The property is generally considered comfortable, though some guests found the lounge seating inadequate for the number of guests the cottage can accommodate and the beds in one room too soft.

Facilities like Wi-Fi and a woodburning stove are appreciated, but issues with warm water and a lack of garden furniture, as well as a rusty BBQ, indicate that maintenance could be better.

While the host's warm welcome is noted, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness, so a score cannot be provided.

It could actually only seat 4, so we were fine. More could have been made of the outside area.

On having a proper look we were not impressed by the cleanliness or lack of. There is only seating for 4 in the lounge which is bizarre for a 6 berth cottage. As for the spacious garden and bbq, no garden furniture and a rusty bbq. As a family who had taken our dad to Ireland to revisit we were very upset and disappointed, so much so that we only stayed 2 nights and had to pay for another cottage elsewhere.

The heavy lounge furniture was too big for the room - blocking off doors and peat burner so we had to continually move it around - not an easy task. Just a thought - the lounge needs coffee table/s. The only space to sit in the open was a big disappointment. There was a rusty old bq and the “garden” wasn’t in good shape at all. We definatly would not return.
